Bridal Party Highlight #1 - Taylor and Benny Chun!

Friday, January 30, 2009

The littlest members of our bridal party will probably make the biggest impression! :) My niece and nephew, Taylor and Benny, will be our flower girl and ring bearer for the wedding day. I know some people fore-go having kids in the wedding or even at the wedding because something "unexpected" may occur, but I love those unexpected moments and feel like weddings become memorable because of them!

They are the children to my oldest sister, Kitty, who feels like she is too old to be a part of a bridal party, so having them in my wedding is kind of like a tribute to her as well ;) Plus, her hubby, my brother-in-law, Patrik, will be walking me down the aisle, so really, the whole family is involved! I could not imagine my life without these two munchkins! They bring so much joy to our family and Eddie and I have been so blessed to have them in our lives. We get a lot of child-rearing practice with them!

Lately, Taylor is obsessed with thinking that her front two teeth are loose. She really wants to lose some teeth and have her grown-up ones come in, so she keeps shaking them. I tell her not to do it and to let it happen naturally, but how cute would it be to have a flower girl missing her two front teeth?! Plus, how do you try to reprimand a cutie-patootie with a face like this?

She is in the first grade, but speaks like she is in high school! She also has a very expensive palette. Her mom blames me for always taking her to nice places to eat, rather than your typical fast food joints. She loves to dance, read, eat, draw, sing and do cartwheels. She is almost ALWAYS eating but is as skinny as a toothpick cuz she is always moving! She was reading full sentences by the age of two and called Eddie "ah-boo" instead of "ee-mo-boo" (meaning uncle in Korean) since she first started to speak.

Benny is our 2 1/2 year old nephew. He is rough and tough and filled with sweet stuff! he is just starting to put together sentences and it's the cutest thing. It's fun to try to decipher what he is saying. lol. He loves elmo and cows and our puppy, Molly. He is a very big boy, with a small appetite. It's funny cuz he is the exact opposite of Taylor! He doesn't eat much, but is super hefty! He loves fruits and veggies and likes to be held. :)
