Finally finalized a logo design with the amazing Jane Gahng, creative beauty and brains behind Olive Hue Paper Goods. You can see the product of all her hard work in my new banner for the blog! **Eeps** (that is my happy squeal of delight!)
I tried teaching myself Illustrator and creating a logo for myself, but it was a really sad excuse for a logo and made me laugh and cry at the same time. hehe. But now when I look at my logo, I just sigh with contentment. Jane totally "got" my vision and was so easy to work with. She threw back a bunch of designs my way and we tweaked and fiddled until we were both completely happy. What more can a girl ask for?! Anyone in need of design or printing skills, be sure to check out her blog, Type and Swash, and give her a holla!
My website is still in the works, but at least now I can put a logo on it that will redirect people to this blog. I am so happy I can barely sit still to write this! :)
Some other reasons why today was a happy day? I had a very happy meeting with a floral vendor and started a great new relationship (more on this later), spent some time with my dear cousins, finally bought a T-Fal Vitesses high-speed, cordless electric kettle for my tea, and last but definitely not least, booked another beautiful bride/wedding for next year!
This is all topping off the super day I had yesterday... dinner date with my lovely sister, party planned over tea with my dear friend Connie, pleasantly but unexpectedly met and chatted with the talented photographer Brandon Kidd (more on this later as well!), found some great vintage deals for an upcoming project (of course, more on this later too!!) and returned late to a home that was cleaned by my awesome husband! He did all the dishes, vacuumed, cleaned out the fridge, lovingly placed all my crafts stuff in boxes in one corner and even hooked up my computer to a larger monitor! Did I mention that I love this man?
I have so much love and support in my life and new business endeavor that I can't help but feel that God has truly blessed this path in my life. I can only hope to pass on these blessings to others!
