Gorgeous Groom and Flowers

I have been on a fix to watch old movies lately. When I say old, I don't mean black and white... although those are good too! I am just talking about a couple decades, 2 to be exact. I LOVE 80's movies. I think the romantic comedies from this time just totally GOT IT. Maybe because these are what I grew up watching, but everything down to the music is so perfect.

Anyways, one of the recommended movies on my Netflix Instant Queue (I am addicted to this thing!) was Benny and Joon and I swooned! It's not technically an 80's movie because it came out in 1993, but I feel like it falls under the same category. :) I was about to go to sleep, but decided to stay up to watch it. This movie was one of the many reasons why I fell in love with Johnny Depp! Oh, be still my heart!

What does this have to do with weddings? Well, while watching the movie last night/early this morning I was thinking how cool it would be to work with a groom with Sam's (Johnny Depp's character) style. So eclectic, fun and unique. And such a great alternative to the traditional tux. I love the vest and fat tie combo. Yes. I know skinny ties are all the rage, but it would take a very cool groom to pull this off. Am I crazy? I know it's a little goth punk meet circus clown... but you don't have to do polka dots or grow your hair out so long and for some reason the overall look just appeals to me! Maybe because it is Johnny Depp. Or maybe because it was really late at night/early in the morning. But I think it could be a fresh new look. What do you think?

In any case, if you haven't seen the film, you really need to watch it this weekend! Let me know how you like it. :)

And just because I like to leave posts with something pretty (although Johnny Depp is plenty pretty in my book!), I wanted to mention the simple and beautiful flowers Sunday Suppers arranged in mis-matched glass salt and pepper shakers. Perfect for a picnic or backyard wedding!

*Connie, actually I think you could totally pull it off! How cool would it be for a wedding photog to come in suspenders and a top hat?! ;)

I fell in love with Johnny Depp because of this, too! He was so wonderous in it..and I had the same thought! His style is amazing...or is it just cuz it's him?
Love it!!

Ha! Kate - I couldn't tell you because I am totally biased and think Johnny looks amazing, even as a rotten pirate! ;) Thanks for stopping by!
