Succulent Love and a busy, busy week!

Tuesday, December 8, 2009

So, I had to turn down my second bride this week because my summer 2010 is basically all booked up! I can't believe how many lovely brides I have met in the past few months and am so excited to work with each and every one of them. I have a total of 13 weddings for 2010 and am trying my best to keep it to 2 weddings per month, MAX, so that I can provide each couple with the right amount of personalized attention. It is really an exciting journey, and I am so happy that you all are here for the ride!

This week is another busy, busy week filled with consultations with new brides, dates with current brides (and some grooms!), vendor visits and one happy night of crafting! Well, all my meetings are happy, and I am actually engaging in some sort of crafting almost every night this week (Christmas decor and cards take a lot of work - but SO worth it!). However, this Thursday, I will be going to an extra special event that I have been looking forward to for some time now.

Craft Good Cheer is being hosted by Bash Eco Events and Kelly of Yes, Please and this gorgeous wedding.

If you aren't already familiar with Kelly and her Succulent Love and Cuppie Love work, where have you been? ;) But in all seriousness, she has some serious taste and talent!

I mentioned before that I am working on a few weddings with yellow and muted green color schemes and I really hope we can find a way to work with Kelly and her beautiful deigns. Here are some examples:

I am drawn to her succulent designs because my mom LOVES succulents. It's almost scary to walk up to her front door because she has so many different kinds just kicking it along her walkway and all throughout her front yard. The great thing about succulents is that they are so easy to take care of and easy to share! My mom can break off a piece of some of her more favorite plants and replant them in a small pot and give it to me for our little apartment. We have quite a little collection of our own on our patio now. I will have to share the pictures someday!

And update on the anthro-inspired Christmas decor - I am done with my garlands and just need to buy some LED Christmas lights for our tree before taking some pictures and posting them. Can't wait to share!! Every year I am torn between buying the modern LED lights and the large, candy colored, traditional lights. The traditional ones win out every year, so I figure we can get the smaller LED ones this year because Eddie loves them so much. ;)
