Hello lovely readers!
I hope that you all had a fun Halloween and are gearing up for a cozy and lovely Thanksgiving holiday. Can you believe how quickly this year has flown by?? I have to admit - I have been counting the days to Thanksgiving, in particular. Not only because I love turkey and spending time with family... but because the day AFTER Thanksgiving, it is totally permissible and sane to go out and buy a Christmas tree! :)
I love Christmas and admit, I have been itching to spend it with our little family. Baby elle was too "baby" on her first official Christmas, last year, to really enjoy anything at all. The only picture I even have with her in her Christmas gear is asleep in her car seat. But this year, I plan to deck out our home and baby elle in holiday garb every day of the month - perhaps well into the new year? Is that crazy? :) For this reason, I actually made sure to not book weddings in the month of December so that I could spend quality time with our family. I hope you are all able to make the same room in your schedules as well. There is not a day that goes by when I don't thank God for the family, friends and job that I have... but it was a very busy year and I am also very thankful for a little down time with my baby girl who is quickly becoming a toddler girl. :)
Speaking of busy! I am so excited to finally share some images from a shoot that kept us very busy back in July. I had too much fun working with Lucia, an editor of Utterly Engaged Magazine, design and style an amazing shoot that was used for the insanely talented Caroline Tran's Propel Workshop. If you are familiar with the shoots that I work on, we always start with a story, and ours was "She’s a city girl, that has a big heart and love for Africa. He’s a southern gentlemen who loves big adventures. Consumed with love they eloped and married among their closest friends and family in an intimate celebration for twelve."
I haven't received all of the images yet, but here are some of my favorites and you can also see more in the newest issue of Utterly Engaged, or in the features on 100 Layer Cake and Ruffled Blog. I am totally honored that our work was featured on such fab sites! I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed working on putting them together. :)
Have a fun rest of your week!!
