Happi New Year, lovelies!! I am so thrilled to start off 2013 with a feature on Style Me Pretty's California Weddings blog!
I still remember my first meeting with Caroline, Tim and Caroline's parents. They were all so sweet and excited that I was certain I would love to help them with their wedding planning and design - even if we only had 3 months to do EVERYTHING. In that time, we booked a venue (the amazing Montage Laguna Beach) and a slew of other amazing vendors (including Flowerwild for florals, Jana Williams for Photography and Sweet and Saucy Shop for their decadent cake). Caroline's father, a talented interior designer, always had a vision of a Midsummer Night's Dream fete and we made it a classy reality with romantic whites and creams with muted gold undertones, amber lighting and the blushest of blush pinks. We spray painted fruits and berries white and gold and accented our tablescapes and arrangements with them. I think they added the perfect touch of an enchanted midsummer night's dream.

Caroline & Tim - Happily Ever After!
Monday, January 7, 2013
It was just another lovely day in sunny southern California. I really feel so blessed to live here!
Caroline, a graphic designer, designed the wedding invitations and paper goods herself!
She was such a classically elegant and beautiful bride! The layers of tulle on her Vera Wang gown only added to the magic of the day!
Kate from Flower Wild created the most gorgeous bridal bouquet. Literally dripping with soft and ruffly floral goodness. The peonies, sweet pea and ranunculus perfectly complemented Caroline.
Caroline and Tim rode up to their ceremony in a white vintage Rolls Royce. LOVE!
Aren't they so sweet?! I love that Tim opted for a traditional tuxedo with tails and Caroline chose to wear a classic jeweled tiara. Both can be difficult to pull off, but they did so perfectly!
When Tim and Caroline caught wind that their friends were going to surprise them with a flash mob during the cocktail hour, they decided to surprise their friends by learning a part of the routine and joining in! We even had some of the Montage service staff volunteer to be a part of the fun! It was truly a memorable part of the evening and the work and logistics were totally worth it when you saw the happy reaction from all the guests at the wedding and at the hotel! :)
Caroline purchased these vintage chairs and lanterns and we set up an inviting lounge space near the outdoor courtyard for guests to escape to during the reception and also enjoy during dessert!
The tables were adorned with glittering gold mercury glass, fresh flowers, gilded fruit and berries and strategically placed herbs and greens. It truly was an enchanting experience.
Topped off with a cake by Sweet and Saucy Shop, that literally made guests gasp. So beautiful.
Please be sure to check out the post and full gallery on Style Me Pretty! It is always such an honor to have our weddings featured there! And check back here later this week for a post about some of my favorite details from our 2012 weddings! We haven't had a chance to post many of the full weddings yet, but I will still be including some of the gorgeous details we loved from them!
Happiest New Year! 2013 is already turning out to be such a wonderful year and I am excited for all the fun we are going to have! I feel like we were blessed beyond belief in 2012 and look forward to paying it forward this year and sharing about it all here! xoxo!!!
